Introducing Semikron’s discrete diodes and thyristors for low to high-power applications
Semikron offer a wide range of discrete diodes and thyristors, with a wide range of case designs available in voltage classes from 200V to 8000V and current ratings from 1A to 7500A.
Discrete semiconductor components are used in a wide variety of applications and provide particular benefits when high current, uncommon topologies, natural cooling or stability in harsh conditions are required.
The Semikron portfolio includes axial leaded diodes up to 6A, diodes and thyristors in screw-fit (stud) and capsule housings for up to 7500A and 8000V and 1200A and 1800V for diodes and thyristors. Semikron’s discrete components provide easy assembly, hermetic sealing and rugged construction.
Avalanche Diodes

Discrete Applications

Rectifier Bridges
Semikron offer a single-phase and 3-phase isolated rectifier bridges for low to medium power applications. Both standard and special topologies feature diodes, thyristors and IGBTs which are available in various case and terminal designs. For voltages ranging from 200V to 2200V and currents ranging from 9A to 494A.
Semikron’s rectifier bridges are the solution for many applications when performance, space and fast production is paramount to an engineer.
Single of 3-phase topologies featuring diodes, thyristors and IGBTs in isolated compact cases can be achieved by selecting either a solder-based connection, solderless connection with spring or press-fit contacts, or mechanical screw connections, fast-on connectors or bus bars.
Semikron’s rectifier bridges are used in a wide range of applications, including: battery chargers, motor drive input rectifiers, power supplies, DC motor control, rectifiers with PFC, AC controllers 9SKWT type) static switches for natural convection or forced cooling.
