At GD Rectifiers, we manufacture a wide variety of reliable high power semiconductors using conventional and future technologies. We design and manufacture selenium and silicon rectifier diodes, suppressors, converters, inverters, and regulator products for Industrial power control applications.
We’re one of the UK’s leading distributors for semiconductor components; state of the art diodes, thyristors, IGBT modules and MOSFETs from the world’s most innovative manufacturers including IXYS, IXYS UK Westcode, Semikron and EDI.
We manufacture an extensive range of power components and assemblies and we also supply a wide range of heatsinks suitable for power semiconductors, LED lighting and similar applications. At GD Rectifiers, we also offer a repair and replacement service for faulty or ageing semiconductor rectifiers, converters, inverters and regulators.
Thyristors
GD Rectifiers has a range of low loss, high efficiency phase controlled thyristors. Applications include wind turbines, soft start, traction and heating. Our range is from 750A to 4000A.

Obsolete Flat Based Diode and Thyristor Replacements
GD Rectifiers manufacture a number of flat base conversion kits used to replace obsolete flat based diodes and thyristors. Flat based devices are historically used in rotating applications and can be replaced using either a stud with the thread removed or a capsule combined with a GD Rectifiers clamp solution.

Rectifiers
GD Rectifiers have reverse engineered a range of popular high voltage rectifiers and encapsulated rectifiers for use in applications such as high voltage power supplies, radio and TV transmitters, radar sets, RH heating and electrostatic precipitators. Our rectifiers cover a popular range of parts previously made by IXYS, Marconi and Semikron. They are all high voltage and low current, avalanche rated and are suitable to absorb limited reverse voltage transients. GD Rectifiers’ high voltage rectifier units have been designed to handle mains frequency.
