Semikron’s Wind Turbines Operation and Maintenance – SKiM Based Retrofit Stacks
The older a wind turbine gets, the greater the maintenance costs and the need for spare parts. To ensure your wind turbines enjoy a long service life, Semikron has developed a replacement stack that is more cost-efficient over time.

Besides Semikron’s industry standard power modules such as the SEMITRANS and SEMiX family Semikron’s portfolio for wind turbine operation and maintenance also includes SKiiP IPMs with customised coolers to fit into your wind turbine converter. The range is rounded off with highly reliable stacks based on solder-free SKiM 93 modules featuring sintered chips. This technology allows for optimised thermal conductivity from chip to heatsink and runs the chip at about 20°C lower than the OEM stack.
GD Rectifiers works with Semikron to offer customers their broad range of power assemblies from 5kW up to 5MW. Semikron offers over 200 off-the-shelf stack assemblies, each providing the most efficient designs used in a wide range of applications.
