PCIM 2020 moves to a virtual format this year, offering a digital alternative for the first time ever

PCIM to take place digitally this year

Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, the organisers of the PCIM Europe exhibition and conference, have made the decision that this year’s show will feature a virtual format, offering a digital alternative for knowledge transfer in early July 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe and the associated ban on all major German events up to, and including the end of August, the PCIM Europe exhibition and conference has been cancelled. The event had already been postponed from May to 28-30^th July 2020 but the Federal government’s guidelines dated 15^th April 2020 now prohibited in Germany until 31^st August 2020.

Organisers are currently developing digital formats with exhibitors and speakers so views on product innovations and the latest research topics can be exchanged. An online conference with live on-demand solutions for interactive presentations is also set to happen and be implemented from 7-8^th July 2020 and further information will be released shortly.

However, the health of our exhibitors, visitors, speakers, participants, partners and employees, is of course, our top priority. We hope that cancelling the event can make a contribution to further delaying the spread of COVID-19 in Europe, so that our every day lives will gradually return to normality in the near future.”

The world’s leading exhibition and conference for power electronics and its applications is hoping to resume next year and take place from 4-6^th May 2021 in Nuremberg.
