Blocking and Voltage Dropping Diodes
Blocking and voltage dropping diodes ideal for solar systems and battery charging systems.
Blocking and Voltage Dropping Diodes
Designed for solar energy systems
Blocking diodes are frequently used in solar energy systems to allow a flow of current from the solar panel to the battery but preventing the flow of current from the battery to the solar panel, blocking the battery and preventing it from discharging.
Additionally, diodes may be used in series to perform a cost effective means of dropping or regulating voltage levels in battery charging systems.
We offer a wide range of options for the blocking diodes: fitted fuses, indicators, microswitches, Dv/Dt suppression, MOV over voltage suppression, Hi/Lo thermal trips, higher current/voltages and oil or water cooled options.
