KONČAR offer a wide range of wagon converters which differ in input voltages, output power and different output voltages. All of KONČAR’s converters offer high quality and reliability that significantly increase traffic availability of passenger coach, whether the passenger coach is in international, regional or suburban traffic.
KONČAR’s four converters for coaches include: KONTRAC PN30MS, KONTRAC PN50MS and KONTRAC PN60MS.
Two System Converter for Passenger Coach – KONTRAC PN30MS
KONTRAC PN30MS serves as a power supply for air conditioned passenger coaches, it can be supplied from two conventional UIC voltages (1500V, 50Hz or 1500VDC) used by European railways.

Multi-system Converter for Passenger Coach – KONTRAC PN50MS
KONTRAC PN50MS is used as the power supply in modern air conditioned coaches on European railways. It is powered by one of four UIC voltages, switching to another UIC system is performed automatically and without external supervision.

Multi-system Converter for Passenger Coach – KONTRAC PN60MS
The KONTRAC PN60MS is powered by any of four UIC voltages and serves as the source of electric energy for the coach air conditioning system, all single-phase and three-phase consumers, as well as charging batteries and power supply of all DC consumers onboard a passenger coach. Switching to another UIC system is performed automatically and without external supervision.
