Passive harmonic filters are currently the most commonly used method to control the flow of harmonic currents. Passive harmonic filtering solutions improve flicker emissions and reduce the effects of voltage dips under 5ms on the machine’s performance.
FINHRM5C is Enerdoor’s latest passive harmonic filter, the most advanced and smallest passive harmonic filter on the market. It ensures IEEE-519 compliance, is UL recognised, and offers a current range up to 1400A. The FINHRM5 offers a current range up to 800A and the FINHRM up to 200A. The typical THDI reduction is <5% for the FINHRM5/FINHRM5C and <15% for the FINHRM. Neither filter is effected by network impedance. This series is designed to guarantee a power factor greater than 0.9 considering an initial value of 0.7. An additional external capacitor to improve power factor correction may be included.
Enerdoor offers a range of passive harmonic filters for harmonic currents available up to 300A with voltage up to 480Vac. Together, Enerdoor and Finmotor have more than 20 years radio frequency interference experience and have developed the harmonic filter series to solve harmonic disturbance and power quality issues by compensating current harmonic and power factor correction.
The FINHRM and FINHRM2 passive harmonic filters offer different levels of attenuation to provide the market with the best compromise to meet the EN61000-3-2, EN61000-3-12 and IEEE519 International Standards. Custom harmonic filters are available for voltages up to 690Vac.
