Heatsink Sourcing & Stock Holding

We simplify sourcing heatsinks so you can spend time on other projects.

GD Rectifiers can help customers source customised heatsinks quickly either in low volumes or a large run. We hold sufficient stock of material onsite and stock over 50 heatsink profiles on our shelves. At GD Rectifiers, we encourage customers to come and visit our heatsink facility to understand our capabilities, expertise and how we work.

We make it easy for our customers to identify the heatsink profiles we carry in stock, the profiles in stock start with ‘PS’ and those profiles not in stock start with numbers.

GD Rectifiers can modify an existing heatsink profile in stock to meet customer requirements, this is a quick and cost-effective way of ordering heatsink prototypes as opposed to ordering in our minimum order value of aluminium.

Simplified Heatsink Sourcing

We are dedicated to expanding your heatsink manufacturing capabilities and simplifying your operations. At GD Rectifiers, we work hard to provide a seamless service as your aluminium and heatsink supplier. We understand that your time is important, so we cut out the middleman and source aluminium extrusion from suppliers directly, allowing you to purchase finished heatsinks and liaise with just one supplier from start to finish.

Our customised solutions and options include heatsink design, extrusion, fabrication and finishing, assemblies, and stock holding. We offer an unrivalled service to our customers which is why we source and machine hundreds of tonnes of aluminium every year for our customers all over the world.

Aluminium Extrusion

As one of the UK’s leading aluminium extrusion suppliers we have vast experience in designing and creating aluminium profile solutions. Experts in alloy bars and requirements we can advise customers on the best extrusion shapes and sizes to produce aluminium profiles to meet specific requirements.

Aluminium heatsinks are used to tackle the heat problems generated in semiconductor devices. The primary purpose of using this heatsink is to dissipate the heat that helps to maintain the heated surface in the electronic parts.

Engineers can use heatsink made of aluminium metal because it likely to increase air in the surface area to dissipate the generated heat. This process has an ability to cool the surface area with the natural air or forced air convection by using a fan.

To avoid heat problems, the aluminium metal can be mounted on to an electronic component, this allows the sufficient air to be applied to the surface area which slows down the contact resistance.

At GD Rectifiers, we are constantly reviewing our aluminium stock holding and are proud to offer over 160 heatsink profiles. We work closely with customers to plan and ensure we have sufficient stock in place for when you need it.

Our commitment to quality ensures our aluminium extrusion is of the best possible quality and suppliers are expected to be certified to ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001 certifications.

The cost of aluminium is always fluctuating, and buyers can monitor real time LME prices on the London Metal Exchange. We encourage customers to work with us closely and explore scheduled or call-off orders to secure the best possible pricing. The key is to order aluminium material at the right time, at the right price, ensuring you receive the best possible quote.

We offer a full service from design to production; our technical team of engineers are available to answer any questions you might have.
