Our Biggest Macmillan Coffee Morning Yet
Last week we hosted our third Macmillan Coffee Morning, and it was a resounding success!

GD Rectifiers celebrates another successful Macmillan Coffee Morning
On Wednesday 24th September we took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and we are delighted to announce we have raised an incredible £1,604.96 exceeding our fundraising efforts from last year! This achievement reflects the incredible spirit of our local community and our commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
A team effort
Our team helped make this a coffee morning to remember in more ways than you can imagine. Our employees not only baked, bought cakes and generously donated money to our fundraiser, several of them also donated raffle prizes, including one of our top prizes – a homecooked meal for 4 people! A big thank you to our team for continuing to support such as important and worthwhile cause so close to our hearts.
This year we invited the local community to our Macmillan Coffee Morning and were pleased to welcome our friends from DVSA, BHBPA and several residents of Burgess Hill who all helped us raise our fundraising target of beating last year’s figure.
Our team worked tirelessly to prepare a stunning array of baked goods, from classic cakes to delightful pastries, ensuring there was something for everyone. Some of this year’s favourites included: Victoria sponge, banoffee pie, carrot cake, millionaire shortbread, brookies, quiches, sausage rolls, bacon and cheese turnovers, chicken biryani and sweet potato vindaloo. The creativity and effort put into each treat was truly commendable and it was heartwarming to see so many people contributing to the cause.
Thank you
Our Macmillan Coffee Mornings are getting bigger and better every year, and we couldn’t continue to put on such big events without the help of the local community. We were fortunate enough to offer 38 raffle prizes worth £766. A huge thank you goes to 11 local businesses that donated a raffle prize in our Macmillan raffle this year.
Bluecoat Sports, Domino’s Pizza, Voco Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa, Komedia Comedy Club, Miller and Carter Haywards Heath, Hampers.com, Major Mindgames, Firebird Brewery, Team Sport, Haywards Heath Golf Club and Bake Out.

A big thank you to our friends Nova Racing who sold homemade Bailey’s chocolate fudge, chocolate cheesecake, cookies and lemon drizzle cake to employees and donated a generous £130 towards our Macmillan Coffee Morning – thank you to everyone at Nova Racing for joining forces with us this year.

Macmillan Coffee Mornings – our pledge
Whilst our coffee morning has come to an end, there’s still time to donate if you couldn’t make it to the event and would like to contribute. Every contribution, no matter how big or small will help Macmillan continue to provide its vital services, you can find our donation page here.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our Macmillan Coffee Morning! Your generosity and support have made a meaningful impact, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to support Macmillan and other charitable causes in the future.
