The raw material used in the manufacture of many industrial automation, processing and HVAC products are experiencing a considerable surge in prices due to increased demand from the automotive industry, which has led to shortages in copper, engineered plastics and silicon-based products.

Coupled with increased demand and limited availability, some lead times are now exceeding 26+ weeks, with manufacturers likely to increase their product prices imminently.

Given the current global situation, at GD Rectifiers we have increased our stock levels and are confident that we can continue to supply our customers. We remain committed to offering the very best products and prices tour customers and although we are seeing escalating costs throughout the industry, we are determined to maintain our pricing where possible.

However, due to increased demand we are strongly advising customers to place orders as early as possible to avoid potential price increases and delivery delays.

Order now to get ahead

We expect this busy period could inevitably create delays on orders placed in Q3-Q4 2021, particularly July to September. We will of course do everything we can to minimise delays, although some of the delays will be out of our control. We are encouraging customers to minimise the foreseen disruptions to their supply chain by doing the following:

–       Call or email our sales team – schedule a call or video call so we can discuss your requirements and forward plan your deliveries

–       Share a forecast or estimated annual usage – share your upcoming requirements so we can discuss putting a call-off or scheduled order in place to minimise disruption

–       Place your order as soon as possible – the earlier we receive your orders the sooner we can process them. Try to order as early as possible so we can secure stock and pricing, ensuring your order

We have long standing relationships with the brands we stock and speak to the factories daily.
