Mid Sussex Science Week (MSSW) celebrated its 10th anniversary last week, taking place at The King’s Church on Friday 23rd May, where primary schools from Mid Sussex, predominantly Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath came to showcase their fantastic STEM projects to a panel of judges.
Organised by BSE|3D with the support of BHBPA, Mid Sussex Science Week is a free STEM event for local primary schools in the Mid Sussex area aimed at inspiring the next generation. Mid Sussex Science Week ignites curiosity, inspires innovation and celebrates the incredible world of science and GD Rectifiers was thrilled to be a part of it again this year.
The Chairman of MSSW, Phil Todd, officially opened the event by welcoming our primary schools, STEM Ambassadors, judges and exhibitors.
Eight primary schools were in attendance this year with each school was judged three times by three sets of judges for 12 minutes across two rooms.

Commenting on the event, Paul Bentley said…
“We had another brilliant day at Mid Sussex Science Week this year, where I had the honour of judging some very enthusiastic and knowledgeable Year 5 s and 6s from 8 local primary schools.
Thank you to all the STEM Ambassadors that worked on the projects with the schools! MSSW nurtures the engaging and inquisitive minds of young people and it’s exhilarating to see the talent and future ahead for these pupils. We were proud to be part of the 10th anniversary and appreciate the crucial role this event plays in highlighting all the fantastic careers our STEM industries have to offer.”
